Thoughts on essay

Ever since i could remember the ways of digital and regular film were completely different. I always thought that film was the way to go and digital had no hands on feel to it at all. Especially, since back then printers were not all they cracked up to be. I still remember the ones that were loud and noisy and did not print well at all. However, as i grew accustom to the new age of digital and slowly pushed my self into that part of photography, i really got a sense of what it was all about. I do believe that in order for one to master digital it is important to understand the history and knowledge of color and black and white photography. When i was reading the essay I tried to really read what he was saying. I found it very interesting how he would juxtapose one comment from another author to his own. I especially liked how he said that digital is another form of photography just as there were different types of painting movements in the early 1700s. Also, i found it interesting how he used the concept of jurrasic park, to show how merging of old and new ways can make something awesome. Finally, i do agree that digital can be too perfect, but what is wrong with being perfect, because don't we strive for that in our own lives anyway!

Todays class

Today i got a lot done in class today. I went through a lot of my photos today, and got at least 14 done. I know exactly what i am going to be doing for the rest of my pictures for my midterm. I am going to have a lot so in order to remember what i am doing i am going to make sure i am labeling everything. The video that we watched today was very cool. Then dance scene and the music that went along with it was very aweseome. It once again gave me ideas on what i can do for my project. I do have a cool idea and i am going to mix it with voiceover and music.

Update

I did a lot of thinking this past weekend on how i want to structure my project. I came up with four songs with my work that i am going to be playing in the background with my project. I am deciding if i am going to incorportate a narrator to go with my work. Not for the whole entire process but just bits and pieces. In order to move my project from one transition to the next. Here is my plan of attack or what i am going to be thinking about.

I still need not like transitions, but ways to show passages of time, i was thinking like video shots of clouds or sun, but i know that is common, but it may fit. Also for the transitions i am going to be speaking or narrating breifly what is happening to me at that point of life. Instead of time passages with video i may just narrate in my transitions?
